Lots to discover

The Maritim Strandhotel Travemünde is located directly by the wide beach and the traditional promenade. As early as 1899, visitors could enjoy the fresh sea air while strolling along the promenade. Today, it is still regarded as the most beautiful promenade in Schleswig-Holstein. Travemuende is often called "Luebeck’s most beautiful daughter." If you want to explore further, the Hanseatic city of Luebeck is just 22 km away, or you can hike along the Brodtener Steilufer, which stretches from Travemuende to Niendorf. Wherever you go in the region, you will always find your way back to the Maritim Strandhotel Travemünde, as it serves as Europe’s tallest lighthouse, guiding ships safely back to Travemuende.
